Campervan rental costs in the Canary Islands: price, mileage and cleaning
A practical guide to what the booking total includes and which usage rules depend on the vehicle and signed rental terms.

What makes up the booking total
The amount depends on the vehicle and your dates. A Vaneando booking breakdown can include the daily rental, any discount applied, selected extras, cleaning and the service fee. Special date-based rates can also change the daily price. Compare the total for your trip instead of relying on the headline daily rate alone.
The deposit is displayed separately and is not part of the booking total. Check its amount and how it is handled in the listing and rental terms. Confirm the collection point and time as well; only count an additional service when it is offered and agreed for that vehicle.
Check which discount applies to your dates
Some owners configure length-of-stay or advance-booking discounts. They are not available on every vehicle and do not necessarily combine. Enter your dates and trip length, then check the breakdown to see whether a discount applies and how much it changes the total.
When comparing listings, use the same dates and select only the extras you need. This lets you compare price, capacity, equipment, mileage, cleaning and collection on equal terms.
Included mileage and possible extra charges
Each listing states whether mileage is unlimited or shows the included distance per day and the rate for extra kilometres where applicable. Confirm the rule before booking and estimate your route. If you need an exception or plan to take the vehicle on a ferry, get permission in writing: an unlimited mileage policy does not automatically allow an inter-island crossing.
The digital handover and return records capture the starting and final odometer readings. When a limit and extra-kilometre rate are part of the accepted rental terms, Vaneando calculates the excess using the policy saved with the contract. Boat listings can instead define engine hours included per day and a rate for additional hours.
Fuel, cleaning and the vehicle at return
Fuel levels are recorded at handover and return. The inspection record lets both sides compare the readings, but it does not automatically turn the difference into a fuel charge. Check the fuel rule for your booking and agree how any adjustment will be handled before collection.
Cleaning and preparation can appear as an item in the initial price. The return form also records cleanliness, but it does not automatically calculate an additional cleaning charge. Follow the instructions and terms attached to your booking to understand the expected return condition.
Compare listings before requesting dates
Open two or three listings and compare the same trip. If an amount or condition is unclear, ask through Vaneando before confirming and keep the answer with the booking.

- Cleaning, selected extras, service fee and separate deposit.
- Included mileage, any extra rate and ferry permission if needed.
- Collection and return points, times and agreed charges.

Frequently asked questions
Is the deposit included in the booking total?
No. Vaneando displays it separately. Check the booking terms for the amount and how it is handled.
Does every listing offer a weekly discount?
No. It depends on the owner’s settings and the length of your rental. Enter your dates and review the discount shown in the price breakdown.
Will Vaneando automatically charge for missing fuel?
The handover and return forms record fuel levels but do not automatically calculate a fuel charge. Check and agree the applicable rule before collecting the vehicle.
How is extra mileage calculated?
When the accepted rental terms set a mileage limit and an extra-kilometre rate, the calculation compares the starting and final odometer readings with the policy saved in the contract.
